Delhi High Court recognizes Grass Valley’s action against unauthorized use of EDIUS

Grass Valley remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting its intellectual property. As part of this commitment, Grass Valley, represented by Khaitan & Co., one of India’s leading corporate and intellectual property law firms, has achieved an important step in its action against the unauthorized use of its EDIUS editing software in India.
 
Together with its global distributor, magic multi media (EDIUS.NET), Grass Valley has filed a copyright case before the Delhi High Court. The Court has acknowledged the unauthorized use of EDIUS and ordered the identification of users involved.
 
Following this, Grass Valley has issued formal notifications to a number of individuals in India. While enforcement proceedings are ongoing, Grass Valley is also providing an opportunity for users to resolve the matter by moving to licensed software.
